Several sources are reporting today that The CW has officially renewed "The Vampire Diaries", "90210" and "Supernatural" for next season.
For "The Vampire Diaries", it will be the fourth season, "90210" is back for a fifth year, and "Supernatural" will get a season 8.
While it might be a bit surprising to see "90210" on the list of early renewals, the show is still getting reliable demo ratings. "The Vampire Diaries", as the network's top-rated show, is a no-brainer, and the renewal of "Supernatural" comes on the heels of the announcement of a new showrunner in Jeremy Carver, so that one was quite expected as well.
Still awaiting decisions: "Gossip Girl","Hart of Dixie", "Ringer", "The Secret Circle" and "Nikita".
Buzz is that "Gossip Girl", "Hart of Dixie" and "Nikita" stand the best chances of returning.
