The CW Orders ARROW, CARRIE DIARIES, CULT, FIRST CUT, BEAUTY & THE BEAST


Next in line to make orders for the new season - The CW.

According to various sources, the Green network has ordered the "Sex And The City" spinoff "The Carrie Diaries, as well as "Green Arrow" spinoff "Arrow" to series.

Other shows ordered are "Beauty & The Beast", medical drama "First Cut" and thriller "Cult".

"Arrow", based on the "Green Arrow"  DC comic books, is an hourlong drama is a modern retelling of the legendary DC Comics character Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) .Paul Blackthorne, Jamey Sheridan, David Ramsey, Colin Donnell, Susanna Thompson, Katie Cassidy, Willa Holland and Colin Salmon
co-star in the pilot directed by David Nutter.

"The Carrie Diaries" is based on the novel by Candace Bushnell, a young Carrie Bradshaw (AnnaSophia Robb) comes of age in the 1980s, asking her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. Austin Butler, Brendan Dooling, Freema Agyeman, Stefania Owen, Katie Findlay, Ellen Wong, Matt Letscher and Chloe Bridges are also starring.

"Beauty And The Beast" is loosely based on CBS’ Beauty and the Beast series from the 1980s, this is a modern-day romantic love story with a procedural twist.
 Smallville's Kristin Kreuk plays "Beauty", Jay Ryan is the "Beast". Austin Basis, Nicole Gale Anderson, Nina Lisandrello, Max Brown and Brian White co-star.

Medical drama "First Cut" centers on a newly minted doctor (Mamie Gummer)  who is glad to leave her nerdy past behind for a fresh start in the adult professional world. But she soon discovers that, sadly and comically, life at the hospital where she works is no different than high school. Co-starring Justin Hartley, Michael Rady, Jack Coleman, Kelly J. McCreary, Aja Naomi King and Necar Zadegan.

"Cult" revolves around an inquisitive young female production assistant (Jessica Lucas) on a wildly popular television show joins a journalist blogger (Matt Davis) in investigating the show's rabid fans. Together, the duo finds the fans might be re-creating crime scenes from the show in their real lives -- behavior that has lead to a rash of disappearances and a likely murder. Co-starring are Alona Tal, Robert Knepper, Andrew Leeds.
