Hello Folks
Here are a few casting updates from today.
Per Deadline's Nellie Andreeva, Maria Bello ("Prime Suspect") will join FOX' new drama "Touch" for several episodes, with the option of becoming a series regular if the show gets renewed, which is likely. Bello plays the mother of a young girl with a similar gift that Martin's (Kiefer Sutherland) son Jake (David Mazouz) has.
- Showtime has announced that Mamie Gummer ("Off The Map") has joined the cast of the upcoming third season of Showtime's "The Big C". Gummer, daughter of Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep, and recently announced addition Hamish Linklater will play a young couple making Cathy (Laura Linney) an offer which is set out to bring a bit more light into the darkness that is her life.
- Hollywood Reporter reports today that Paula Marshall ("Gary Unmarried") has booked a guest stint on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" during May sweeps. In one episode, Marshall plays Ms. Veck, a cold-hearted, calculating and mean oil company CEO who's also a premiere race truck driver. The tough-as-nails businesswoman is convinced that she's the original target of a truck bombing.
- Ben Shenkman ("Drop Dead Diva") has booked a multi-episode arc on USA's "Roayal Pains". According to TVGuide's Kate Stanhope, he will play Dr. Jeremiah Sacani, HankMed's newest employee, who has a brilliant mind for science, but lacks the social skills for concierge medicine.
- Oh yeah, and Warner Bros. TV has released the first image of the cute AnnaSophia Robb in her getup as a young Carrie Bradshaw in the CW pilot "The Carrie Diaries", a prequel to "Sex And The City". Check out the Hi-Res version here.
