TVLine's Michael Ausiello reports today that Starz has scheduled Friday July 8 as the premiere date for "Torchwood: Miracle Day", the fourth season of the highly successful UK series.
The new season deals with the happenings surrounding one simple question: What if the entire human race would become immortal?
“Not a single person on Earth dies” Torchwood boss Russell T. Davies recently explained. “The old stay old. It’s great news for some people, but globally it’s an instant population boom. Earth relies on people dying. Suddenly you’re affecting everyone on the planet. That’s where the Torchwood team comes in.”
Aside from returning cast members John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) and Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper), there are a few fresh faces to discover on the upcoming season four of "Torchwood". Mekhi Phifer, Alexa Havins, Bill Pullman and Lauren Ambrose have joined the cast for this next go-round.
And to top things off, TVLine has also offered a first look at the poster. To see what the PR wizards at Starz came up with, hit the link above.
No word yet on the UK premiere date.
