Syfy Renews BEING HUMAN For Second Season

Syfy has announced via a press release that it has ordered a second season of its freshman drama "Being Human".

The show, based on the British series of the same name, has had a great run during its first season, averaging 1.8 Million viewers. Additionally, the show has proven to be the most female-attracting series ever for Syfy, with a 53% share of female viewers.

"'Being Human' has proven to be a winner for Syfy on all fronts," said Mark Stern, President of Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head of Original Content, Universal Cable Productions. "Using the original format as inspiration, showrunners/writers Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke - along with a superlative team of writers, cast, and production - have created an amazing, compelling series in its own right. We can't wait to watch Aidan, Josh and Sally continue their struggle to be human in the second season!"

The news comes a day after Syfy has ordered a second round of its special effects competition series "Face Off".
