TVLine Is Up And Running - First Scoops

Hello Folks,

and welcome to 2011. Yeah, I know it's a bit late, but this is my first post this year, so there…

And to start the new year, we all got a new gift in terms of TV news. Michael Ausiello, formerly of TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly, today launched his own TV-centric website TV Line. And he has some great TV reporter talent aboard in his staff, including Matt Webb Mitovich or Megan Masters, for example. As a rabid follower and reporter of all things TV, I expect this site to become the go-to place of the TV news world fast. If I were you, I'd bookmark it fast.

And to start, there are some scoops on it worth mentioning.

- Damian Lewis ("Life") has joined Claire Danes in "Homeland", a Showtime drama pilot about a CIA officer (Danes) who suspects that an American soldier who escaped years of capture in Iraq is now part of a terrorist plot by Al Quaeda. Laura Fraser and Diego Klattenhoff ("Men in Trees", "Mercy") also star.

- In other pilot casting news, Molly Sims ("Las Vegas") and Faizon Love have joined Jason Lee in the Adult Swim comedy pilot "The Jon Johnsenson Story". Malcolm David Kelley ("Lost") and Kevin Pollak are also aboard the project about a teenage skateboarding champ who falls into a coma for 25 years after an accident.

- Joel David Moore ("Bones") has landed a guest starring part on CBS' "Hawaii Five-O", playing the director of a tsunami tracking office in Honolulu in episode 15. When a few big waves are coming and his boss goes missing, he becomes an asset for McGarrett and his team. His appearance is set for episode 15.

- Jason Wiles will guest star in a February episode of "Castle", playing an old friend of Rick's, who becomes entangled in a murder case.

- Mary Lynn Rajskub is going to appear in a guest spot on FOX' "Raising Hope", where she'll play the wife of cousin Mike (Skyler Stone). The episode is set for February.

OK, that's enough for the moment. Oh, and don't worry, I will still cover all the important news places. I just thought you might want to know that there's a big new one out there...
