Hello Folks
Never say something is dead until you see a dead body.
OK, in case of a TV show, that might prove difficult, but the saying still applies in this particular case. Per Variety, CBS has picked up Brett Ratner's CIA series "Chaos" for midseason, after a deal with producing studio 20th Century Fox TV could be reached.
The show was declared dead after a pickup deal between the Eye and 20th could not have been made. Parties were disagreeing first over the amount of episodes ordered, then about a reduced license fee for more episodes. Negotiations finally came to an unfruitful end, and by June 30, the options on the actors expired.
But the CAA reps who packaged the show didn't give up, and now "Chaos" is back on track for midseason on CBS. The full cast from the pilot, including lead Freddy Rodriguez, has agreed to return.
"Chaos" centers on a CIA operative who is ordered to spy on his colleagues. James Murray, Tim Blake Nelson, Eric Close and Carmen Ejogo also star.
