- Per TV Guide's Natalie Abrams, Mandy Moore will check into "Grey's Anatomy" for the season finale. She will play a patient under the care of Bailey (Chandra Wilson).

- Showtime has announced it has picked up "Shameless" to series with an order of 12 episodes. The show stars Emmy Rossum, William H. Macy and, in recurring capacity, Allison Janney. Based on the popular British series by Paul Abbott, the US project, from John Wells and Abbott, is about the Gallaghers, a working class clan from Chicago dealing with recession. With no mother in sight, and the patriarch (Macy) an alcoholic, 18-year old Fiona (Rossum) has to take care of things.

- HBO has greenlit "Enlightened" to series, and has ordered 9 additional episodes to the pilot, the Hollywood Reporter reports. It stars Laura Dern as a woman on the path of self-destruction. After a moment of revelation, she determines to lead an enlightened life, which brings all sorts of trouble to her home and work life.
