After departing "American Idol" last year, Paula Abdul has found her new TV home.
Per EW's Michael Ausiello, the singer is coming aboard ABC's update version of "Star Search", which is sort of the mother of all singing competitions on TV.
Abdul's exact role has yet to be finalized, but it is likely to include a combination of hosting and judging.
