And some small news bits to follow:
- Per the Hollywood Reporter, Briston Palin, the eldest daughter of Sarah Palin, will be seen in her acting debut in an upcoming episode of "The Secret Life Of The American Teenager". Young Palin, who endured a teen pregnancy in 2008, will play herself in the series. She befriends Amy (Shailene Woodley) at a music program for teen moms.
- EW's Michael Ausiello reports that Elon Gold ("Stacked") has landed the coveted part of Cam's new love interest on FOX' veteran crime drama "Bones". He'll first show up in April.
- Charlie Sheen has exited his lead role on "Two And A Half Men" for a while to enter rehab. His publicist announced the move via a statement. "As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series, "Two and a Half Men". He has asked that his privacy be honored."
Sheen was arrested on Christmas day and charged with second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief after a fall-out with his wife.
Update: CBS has issued the following statement regarding Sheen's absence:
"CBS, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment center. We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal matter. Production on ‘Two and a Half Men' will be temporarily suspended."
- USA Today reports that after a two-week shutdown, production on the current 8th season of "24" will resume on Monday. Kiefer Sutherland underwent surgery, and is cleared to return to work next week.
