Major Changes Coming To SCRUBS - SPOILER ALERT!
EW's Michael Ausiello reports today that when "Scrubs" returns for its ninth season in the fall, it will look quite different. More after the spoiler jump...
Still here, OK, read at your own risk.
"Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence explains that the ninth season shifts the focus from the hospital to the classroom. Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Turk (Donald Faison) will become med-school professors.
"It'll be a lot like Paper Chase as a comedy. It's going to be a different show. It'll still be life-and-death stakes, but if the show is just Scrubs again in the hospital with a different person's voiceover, it would be a disaster and people would be mad, " Lawrence explains.
But Sacred Heart won't be completely abandoned. The med students will take turns visiting the hospital, and bump into well-knows characters. Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes and Ken Jenkins have already signed on for guest appearances, with McGinely and Faison expected to stay on as regulars.

MY NAME IS EARL Officially Dead
Hello Folks!
The Hollywood Reporter and EW's Michael Ausiello both report today that there won't be any continuation of "My Name Is Earl". TBS couldn't find a way to make additional episodes economically rewarding.
From a 20th Century Fox TV statement:
"Greg Garcia's brilliant My Name is Earl kept America laughing for the past four seasons and certainly deserved to continue for many more. While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series. As none of us, Greg included, want the show to go out on anything but a high note, we regret that we must put to rest any speculation that Earl will continue. We are grateful to everyone at TBS for their enthusiasm for the series and wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew of My Name is Earl for their incredible work."
