Executive Producer/Director Jon Cassar To Leave "24" After This Season
Hello Folks!
EW's Michael Ausiello reports in his weekly Ask Ausiello column that Jon Cassar, longtime executive producer/director of "24", will leave the show at the end of this season.
Cassar, who was a vital part of the show for 6 years, has opted not to renew his contract.
"I will not be involved with the upcoming eighth season. Although that's sad for me to leave after six years, it's also very exciting to be back in the marketplace working with different people and facing different challenges," says Cassar.
A surprising turn, since Kiefer Sutherland, up to a month ago, was positive that Cassar would reach a new contract.
To read what the "24" star had to say a few weeks ago, head over to Mike's column by clicking here. You'll have to scroll down a bit.

Continuing the legacy and thrilling journey of the popular Stargate SG-1 television series, Stargate: The Ark of Truth picks up after "Unending," the SG-1 series finale. Stargate: Continuum features incredible visual effects, out-of-this-world battle sequences and breathtaking scenes shot on the Arctic ice. Directed by Martin Wood (Sanctuary) and written by Brad Wright, the film finds Ba'al as he travels back in time and tries to prevent the Stargate program from ever being started. The SG-1 team must somehow restore history and once again save the galaxy from oppressive domination.
