The Hollywood Reporter reports today that comedian Patton Oswalt has joined the cast of Syfy's upcoming "Battlestar Galactica" prequel "Caprica" in the recurring role of comedian talk show host Baxter Sarno. Daniel (Eric Stoltz) and Amanda Greystone (Paula Malcomson) will ultimately appear on his show.

Additionally, Dave Franco ("Privileged", "Greek") has joined the cast of "Scrubs" as a regular.
The show shifts to a medical school next season, where Franco plays a charming, very entitled medical student, whose parents have donated a wing to the school. His arrogance and erroneous meidical decisions prove a great factor of irritation to Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley).
