The Hollywood Reporter reports today that Colin Egglesfield ("All My Children") and Stephanie Jacobsen ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") have joined the cast of the upcoming redo of "Melrose Place".
Egglesfield will play avid surfer Auggie working as a sous-chef in a restaurant, harboring the dream of having his own restaurant.
Jacobsen plays Lauren, a UCLA med student who moonlights as a high end call-girl.

Additionally, there are the following castings to report:
- Jaqueline Bisset has been cast as one of the lead in CBS' drama pilot "The Eastmans". It's about a dysfunctional family of doctors, and Bisset will play the mother.
- Steve Howey has come aboard as the male lead of the NBC comedy pilot "State Of Romance". Described as a modern-day "Pride & Prejudice", it tells the story of Emily (Lindsay Broad) and Mike (Howey), who meet on a plane under awkward circumstances. Grace Rex and Zoe Lister Jones are also cast. Rex plays Emily's best friend Regina, and Jones plays Regina's sister.
- Andrea Parker ("The Pretender") has joined ABC's pilot presentation "This Little Piggy", about two adult siblings moving in with their eldest brother and his wife (Parker).
- Lourdes Benedicto is the latest addition to the ever-growing cast of "V", ABC redo of the 80s sci-fi series about an invasion from aliens known as The Visitors, with a female Homeland Security agent named Erica (guest star Elizabeth Mitchell) at the center. Benedicto is set as a love interest for Erica's boyfriend (Morris Chestnut).
