Per the Hollywood Reporter, FOX has decided to hold its musical comedy "Glee" for a fall debut - except a first preview episode that will air after "American Idol" on May 19.
The show about the nation's worst high school glee club stars Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Chris Colfer, Jenna Ushkovitz, Lea Michele, Debra Monk and the recently cast Kristin Chenoweth and Victor Garber. Inititally, it was set to premier this season with 13 episodes.
"An ambitious and unique show such as 'Glee' deserves an ambitious and unique kickoff. We also wanted to take advantage of the huge 'American Idol' promotional platform to launch the marketing campaign in May," FOX chairman Peter Liguori said.
