The Hollywood Reporter reports that Andrew McCarthy has signed on for the upcoming "Gossip Girl" spinoff.
Focusing on the early years of Lily Van Der Woodsen back in the 80s, the project has already cast Brittany Snow in the lead role and Krysten Ritter playing her sister Carol. McCarthy will play Lily's father Rick, who is a music company exec.
